Description
THE MOTHER IN THE MONSTER
Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital without question, the nation's number one health facility. Also true is the fact that for decades, the hospital has been associated with significant negativity, earning an unenviable reputation for industrial conflicts and client dissatisfaction. Indeed, prior to my assumption of office as Board Chairman of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, a former CEO had described the institution as a "monster" that could not be killed but at best, be tamed.
On assuming office in July 2018, I made it my preoccupation to diagnose this "monster" with a view to finding a lasting treatment, if not a cure, for bringing it under control. This book gives a detailed account of how the "monster" was carefully and systematically dissected, examined and nurtured. It further reveals the interventions that birthed the industrial harmony which the hospital has been enjoying for some time now and what it will take to nurture and sustain a serene working environment.
