CENTRAL BANKING IN GHANA AND THE GOVERNORS
The Bank of Ghana was established in 1957 as the Gold Coast became Ghana. Since then, the Bank has grown from its six inaugural departments to a blossoming organization with twenty-four departments. It is a key pillar of a middle-income economy and one of the oldest banks in the sub-Saharan Africa-continuing to grow and take on new challenges.
