MFANTSIPIM - MEMOIRS OF THE CENTENARY GREENHORNS

Mfantsipim School, is undoubtedly the most famous and prestigious premier boarding Secondary School in Ghana. This all-Boys Methodist School described as "The Eton of Ghana" by Dr. William Brown, Director, Africa Research and Studies Programme, University of Boston, in the book titled The Persistence of Paradox: Memoirs of F.L. Bartels, a book authored by the celebrated former Mfantsipim School Headmaster, Dr. Francis Lodowic Bartels. The Chapters in the Memoirs include Centenary Celebrations, Academics, Sports, and the future of Mfantsipim. There is a glittering gallery of Famous Alumni and Heroes including Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General, and Dr Alex Quaison-Sackey, first Black President of the UN General Assembly. Read how Achimota School Heroes Dr, J.K Aggrey and Professor E.A. Badoe acknowledged and extolled the greatness of this famous School. The book ends with a proposal from an Old Boy, Mr. Moses Kwesi Baiden Jnr, Founder  and Chairman of Margins Group for an ambitious Endowment Fund to oversee the smooth transition of Mfantsipim School from a public to a Methodist non-profit private institution. This may well be the blueprint to restore prestige to other established Mission boarding schools in Ghana.
